Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 Base + uncapped commission structure

Position Overview:
We are a fast-growing, dynamic painting company looking for an entrepreneurial, ambitious and driven General Manager to lead our daily operations, drive sales, and help scale our business. You will have full ownership of the business lifecycle, from initial customer estimates to final project sign-offs. This is a high-autonomy role perfect for a proactive leader who thrives on building teams, streamlining processes, and directly impacting company growth. We are looking for an individual who is comfortable handling a sales call at 8 AM, checking a job site at 1 PM, and posting a job ad for painters at 4 PM. You will have full freedom over how you perform the duties of the job and flexibility over your hours.

Job Summary:
The position of General Manager is a multi-functional role to oversee and coordinate all aspects of customer service to include quoting projects utilizing our BRANDED Quoting Software and following our BRANDED customer service sales process. In addition, the position also requires managing project schedules, budgets, and resources while ensuring high-quality work and customer satisfaction. The General Manager is the primary point of contact between customers requesting painting quotes and between clients and the painting team, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

The compensation for this position is both base wage and commission. Fresh Coat Academy Workshop week attendance in Cincinnati will be required. This postion is sales oriented in the first place and requires physical presence in the Stamford-Greenwich area of CT.

Key Responsibilities:

 
  • Seek out new opportunities for painting projects
  • Participating in various Networking events and Networking meetings to generate new business leads
  • Conduct discovery calls, understand client pain points, and deliver tailored product solutions
  • Manage a healthy sales pipeline, negotiate contracts, and successfully close deals to meet monthly and quarterly quotas
  • Utilizing all aspects of our BRANDED customer service process to win projects
  • Regular follow up with customers who have not decided on their painting proposal
  • Coordinate with clients to understand their needs and expectations
  • Plan and oversee painting projects from start to finish
  • Select and manage both painter employees and sub-contractors
  • Schedule and supervise painting crews
  • Ensure quality control on all painting projects
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness
  • Reporting directly to the owner to review sales funnel and project related activities

Qualifications:
  • Strong experience in consumer sales and proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one with customers and having a customer-first mindset 
  • Exceptional negotiation and objection-handling skills 
  • Experience as a Project Manager or Team Leader in the painting industry
  • Proven track record of hiring, managing, and retaining field crews or subcontractors
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in software tools and computer skills (MS word, MS excel, Google docs, Google sheets, Google drive, etc)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to meet Key Performance Indicators (gross profit margins, etc)
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required for site visits)
