In this role, you'll meet with customers at their homes or businesses, understand their goals, prepare accurate project estimates using Fresh Coat's Branded estimating software, and guide them through the sales process from initial consultation to signed proposal. Job Summary:
At Fresh Coat, we take pride in Painting Done Right! In this position, you will be responsible for surveying projects, estimating labor and material costs utilizing our Fresh Coat Branded estimating software, and communicating project proposals and timelines directly with customers during in-person consultations.
You must have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prepare accurate estimates that meet customer expectations while helping close new business.
This is a consultative sales role that combines estimating, relationship building, and customer service. You'll serve as one of the first impressions of our company and play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience.
The compensation for this position includes a base salary plus commission.
This position requires physical presence in the Stamford-Greenwich area to travel to customer locations, perform estimates, and close sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fulfill client appointments in a timely manner.
- Assess projects by identifying project requirements, including labor, materials, project scope, and timelines.
- Prepare accurate project estimates utilizing Fresh Coat's Branded Estimating Software.
- Present estimates and proposals to clients professionally during in-person consultations.
- Recommend appropriate products, materials, and service options based on customer needs.
- Answer customer questions and guide clients through the decision-making process.
- Follow up with prospective customers to answer questions, overcome objections, and close sales.
- Communicate job details to the General Manager.
- Maintain thorough project documentation, including estimates, signed proposals, sales receipts, and project completion documentation utilizing Fresh Coat's Branded Software.
- Seek out new business opportunities through networking events, referral generation, community outreach, ground-floor marketing initiatives, and cold calling potential clients.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistently work toward individual sales goals.
- Sales and customer relationship experience.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to operate independently while managing multiple customer appointments.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to customer appointments.
- Comfortable using computers and software applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in residential or commercial painting.
- Experience in home improvement, remodeling, roofing, flooring, HVAC, construction, or related industries.
- Previous estimating experience.
- Experience using CRM or estimating software.
